Sallamari Keinänen is a pianist originating from Tornio, currently wrapping up her music pedagogue studies in Turku University of Applied Sciences Arts Academy. Being taught by Eveliina Kytömäki, Sallamari has been able to enhance her skills in solo piano music as well as lieds. In addition to piano studies, she considers classical singing an important part of her musicianship.

In the Sommar Sibelius Concert, Sallamari Keinänen performs works by Sibelius from six different opuses giving the audience pieces between 1893 and 1924 – including the charming bagatelle Air de dance, the gloomy funeral march In Mournful Mood and The Carnation from the Flowers suite.

During the 2025 summer our museum comes to life on weekends with live music in the Sibelius Hall. With this, we wish to provide a possibility to experience our exhibitions a bit differently. Naturally, you may also have a seat in the concert hall and just enjoy the music.

Sommar Sibelius is a collaborative project between the Sibelius Museum and the Turku Arts Academy where music students perform music by Jean Sibelius during short pop-up concerts.

The Sommar Sibelius concerts are included in the admission price.
